Chitra Desai is a writer and a lawyer. B.A Hons. and LLB from Delhi University and completed her post Graduate Certificate Course in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) from K.C Collage Mumbai. Many of her Poems and Stories have been published in various publications. A collection of her poems has been published in “Shuru Yatra”. In 2001 she was one of the jury members of the National Film Awards. From 2001 to 2004 she was a member of the advisory committee at the National Film Archive of India and from 2006 to 2009 she served as a Professor in various departments at SNDT Women’s University. She has been practicing Law in the Supreme Court of India since 1980.She is also a distinguished member of the Hindi Advisory Committee in the Ministry of External Affairs and a member of the Advisory committee at Barclays India.
